Sunday saw IT Group host our inaugural race day, with a number of clients joining us at the Silverstone Circuit for the latest round of the British Touring Car & MSA Championships.
Situated in the Drivers Lounge, the morning kicked-off with obligatory bacon butties and copious amounts of coffee, as guests took in the unrivalled views of the trackside from the suite's private balcony.

Basking in the warm September sunshine, the anticipation was building for the first of fourteen
thrilling contests. The opening race included our very own sponsored MSA driver, Jack Butel. Our guests roared him on to a solid first race, finishing in 10th place from an initial grid position of 12th.
"I had a really fantastic day; the quality of the company, racing, hospitality and not least the weather, were all first rate."
Butel had contested the opening four rounds of the MSA Formula Championship with SWB Motorsport – the team he had worked and progressed with for the past 18 months. After a mutual decision to part ways it was decided that Jack would continue in the single-seater series in a JHR Developments prepared machine.
A trip down to the pits to meet the JHR Developments team was a particular highlight, allowing guests to gain an insight into the intricate planning and preparation undertaken by Jack and his dedicated team.

As we made our way back to the Lounge, lunch was served and we were able to catch the first of the headline British Touring Car Championship races (BTCC). The race certainly lived up to its billing with plenty of bumps, spins and crashes along the way, which made for extremely entertaining viewing.
"It was a privilege to get a behind-the-scenes look at the racing entourage. I doubt there are many better ways to while away a Sunday afternoon in the sunshine"
We continued to revel in the quality of racing on offer and being part of the special Silverstone atmosphere. The hospitality team ensured we remained suitably fed and watered with a vast selection of food & drink on offer.

All in the all the day was a success and was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests and we look forward to our next event at Brands Hatch, on Sunday 11th September 2015.
